Education
I finished my Masters in Physics degree at the University of San Carlos in 2007. I also took up BS in Education major in Physics and Chemistry at the same school in 2003, awarded as cum laude.
Experience
I have been teaching science for the past 14 years, mostly on Physics and Chemistry. This includes experience in using IGCSE, O-level, A-level, and IB curricula, and setting exam papers for each. I have encountered students of different learning abilities and have adapted my lesson plans and worksheets according to the needs and goals of the students. My greatest strength as a teacher is my ability to create rapport with my students. This allows the students to learn more since they are comfortable communicating with me and asking questions without feeling inadequate. I have also coached high ability students for national and international science competitions and have been victorious. Last July 2018, I was one of the few teachers selected to participate in the international high school teacher programme (HST 2018) held in Geneva, Switzerland. This was sponsored by CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research). We had lectures, discussions, and presentations on particle physics. We also had site tours of the different facilities and saw firsthand the equipment used for nuclear research.

Hobbies
Travelling and photography are the two things that I like to do, and they usually go hand-in-hand. I like taking photos of people, events, scenery and experimenting with different settings, angles, lighting. I also like to travel to different cities, exploring it both as a tourist and a traveller.
